Ingredients
1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml; 1teaspoon – 5ml;
For the Paratha Dough:
– 1+1/2 cups Maida (All-purpose flour)
– Lukewarm water (as needed to make the dough)
– Salt to taste
To Layer the Paratha:
– 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
– 1+1/2 tablespoons Maida (All-purpose flour)
For Shallow Frying:
– Sufficient oil
How to make 5 Ingredients Laccha Paratha
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Maida and salt. Gradually add lukewarm water and knead the mixture into a soft and smooth dough.
2. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes.
3. After resting, divide the dough into 3 equal-sized balls, spray little oil on them and cover.
4. In a small bowl, mix the vegetable oil and Maida to form a smooth paste.
5. Take a dough ball and roll it into a small disc using a rolling pin. Apply the oil and Maida paste on the disc.
6. Cut a line from the center of the rolled ball. Fold the disc from one edge to the other end. Seal the all the edges and roll the triangle into a circular shape.
7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.
8. Heat a pan or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled paratha on the hot pan.
9. Place a rolled paratha on the hot pan. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip. Apply a little oil on both sides and cook until golden brown.
10. Remove the Laccha Paratha from the pan and place it on a plate. Serve hot with your favorite curry, raita, or chutney.
