Though it is easily available in market, yet making them fresh at home gives your burger eating a very satisfying experience. Today I am going to share with you Homemade Burger Buns recipe. To make the Burger Buns, we do not require lot’s of ingredients. But, it takes some time to prepare. Time is very essential for this recipe.
Buns can be made with all purpose flour, wheat flour, multigrain flour or mixed of all kind of flours. Even it can be stuffed with veg and non-veg items.
Although the regular taste of a bun is sweet or salty, but today’s generation likes spicy and flavorful burger buns. And this variation in buns is increasing day by day.
Burger buns remined me of my childhood, where I used to eat one kind sweet buns. It was large in size and had a large piece of Petha in its center. I loved that sweet buns because of that sweet petha and sweet taste.
Petha is a type of sweet candy which made from ash gourd or winter melon. It is very tasty and easy to get this in market. You can store them for 1-2 months. Even when you don’t have sweets at home, use it as a dessert after having dinner.

INGREDIENTS
*1cup_250ml, *1tbsp._Tablespoon(15 ml) , *1tsp._Teaspoon(5 ml)
- All purpose flour – 1 +1/2 cup
- Butter – 1+1/2 tbsp.
- Activated yeast – 1 tbsp.
- Sugar – 1 tbsp.
- Water – 1/2 cup
- White sesame seeds – 1tsp

How to make burger buns
Step 1: First we need a big bowl. Then add 1/2 cup of lukewarm water into it. After that add 1tbsp. of activated yeast and 1 tsp of sugar, stir them all. Now cover the bowl and leave it for 2-3 minutes to rise up.
Step 2: Once yeast is fermented, add all purpose flour and salt into it. Use you plum to make a nice and sticky dough.
Step 3: At this point, add 1 tbsp. of butter and mix it with the dough. Here we need around 5-10 minutes to knead the dough perfectly.
Step 4: Once your dough is done, put a wet cloth or a lid or a plastic wrapper on it. Leave it for 1 and 1/2 hours for fermentation.
Step 5: Our burger dough is rouge properly. Knead the dough one more time. And then cut it into 3 equal pieces.
Step 6: Try to fold each ball towards inside and give a nice round shape to them. At this stage put the bun balls on the baking tray and wait for 30 minutes to rise up again.
Step 7: Now our Burger Buns are perfect in size. It’s time to put the oven for preheating at 180° C in convection mode.
Step 8: Put the tray into the oven and set it for 30 minutes to bake the buns.
Step 9: Once it done, let them cool down for 15 to 20 minutes. And then make whatever you want to make by using the buns. I have made Fish Petty Burger by using these Buns.
