Ingredients

1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml; 1teaspoon – 5ml;

For the Cookie Dough:

– 1 cup (120g) Maida (All-purpose flour)

– 50g Salted Butter

– 3 tbsp Powdered Sugar

– 2 tbsp Custard Powder

– 2 tsp Milk Powder

– 1/4 tsp Vanilla Essence

– 1/4 tsp Baking Soda

– 3 tbsp Milk

To Garnish the Cookies:

– 2 tbsp Chopped Pista Nuts

– 1 tsp Rose Petals


How to make Custard Cookies

1. Prepare a baking tray by greasing and lining a with butter and parchment paper. Now preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, combine salted Butter (softened) and Powdered Sugar, mix them to get a creamy texture. Now add maida, custard powder, milk powder, vanilla essence, and baking soda.

3. Gradually add Milk to the mixture and knead it into a soft dough. Ensure the ingredients are well incorporated.

4. Take the cookie dough and roll it into a .5 cm thick sheet. Cut the custard cookies into your desired shape using a cookie cutter.

5. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each cookie.

6. Sprinkle Chopped Pista Nuts and Rose Petals on top of each cookie, pressing them slightly into the dough.

7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 17 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

8. Once baked, allow the cookies to cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

9. Serve these delicious Custard Cookies with a cup of tea or coffee.
