I always prefer to eat homemade foods, specially breads, cakes, snacks and cookies. They don’t have any artificial chemicals or preservatives like the market one does.
We used to buy cakes only on any special occasions or birthday parties. But I really don’t care about it. I bake my cake or bread whenever I want to.
Today’s I am going to share with you a delicious eggless banana cake recipe, which is also popularly known as banana bread.
I loved this ckae very much and that’s the reason I eagerly wanted to share this recipe to you that you can also make it for your family.
This cake has delicious aroma of banana, in addition to its color & spongy texture makes this a delicious food.
INGREDIENTS
1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml ; 1teaspoon – 5ml;
- All purpose flour – 1½ cups
- Banana – 2 pieces (medium size)
- Sugar – 1/4 cup
- Jaggery powder – 1/2 cup
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Baking soda – 1 tsp.
- Baking powder – 1½ tsp
- Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
- Raisins (optional) – 1/4 cup
- Milk – 1/2 cup (at room temperature)

How to make eggless banana cake
Step 1: First of all we need a a big bowl to make the cake batter. Now add peeled and cut piece of bananas into it. After that smash them with a fork or a smasher.
Step 2: Now add 1/2 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of jaggery powder into it. Then mix them all together with a whisk or spatula. Whisk it until the sugar and jaggery mix with the oil completely.
Tips: To get more fluffy cake you can use a mixer or hand blender to mix oil and sugar together.
Step 3: After that add 1½ cup of flour little by little into the mixture and mix them all together.
Tips: Batter should be little lose in texture. Don’t make it so tight. So add 1/4 of milk (at room temperature ) to make the batter thinner.
Step 4: Then add 1 tsp. of baking soda & 1½ tsp. of baking powder into the mixture.
Step 5: Now I am going to add some chopped raisins and vanilla essence into the batter and mix them all together. Now our cake batter is ready.
Step 6: Now set your oven at 180 °C for preheating in convection mode.
Step 7: Besides that grease a baking tray with oil or butter. Finally pour the cake batter into the tray.
Step 8: Now put the tray into the oven to bake it for 40 minutes.
Step 9: After 30 minutes check your cake. Use a stick or fork and put it in middle of the cake till the bottom and bring it back. If it comes clean then your cake is ready, else we need to bake it for another 5-10 minutes.
Step 10: Your banana cake is ready; let it cool for a while then you can enjoy your home made banana cake with your special one. I hope your banana cake also will come out very soft and fluffy.

Can bananas be too ripe to use for banana cake?
Not really, But yes ripe bananas are easy to smash and also easily combines with the other ingredients of the cake.
Can you make cake without an oven?
Yes, you can make cake without oven. Actually I have made many cakes without oven and it came out perfectly. In that case 1st you have to make you cake batter using my recipe.
Then put it on a butter brushed tin. Now take a thick based tawa/kadai, put ample amount of salt to cover the pan/ kadai base.
Then put the tin on it & Cover the tawa/kadai by a lid. Bake for 35 minutes on low flame. Your cake will be ready.
