Eggless chocolate brownies are a delightful and popular dessert option, especially for those who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet. They are essentially a variation of traditional brownies but without the use of eggs.

Ingredients

1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml; 1teaspoon – 5ml;

For the Buttermilk:

– 1 cup of milk

– 1 tablespoon of vinegar

For the Brownie Batter:

– 12 cubes of dark chocolate (50-60gms)

– 50 grams of salted butter

– 1 cup of prepared buttermilk

– 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

– 1/4 cup of brown sugar

– 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour (maida)

– 1/4 teaspoon of rock salt

– 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder

– 2 tablespoons of roasted walnuts, coarsely crushed

– 8-10 small chocolate cubes

– 2 tablespoons of chocolate buttons

For Garnishing the brownie:

– 3 tablespoons of roasted walnuts

– 3-4 small chocolate cubes

– 2-3 tablespoons of chocolate buttons


How to make Eggless Chocolate Brownie

1. To make buttermilk, combine 1 cup of milk with 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Let it rest for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

2. While the buttermilk is resting, roast the walnuts. Heat a pan over low heat and add 1/4 cup of walnuts. Roast them for about 5-6 minutes until fragrant and slightly browned.

3. Transfer them to a bowl and allow them to cool. Coarsely crush the roasted walnuts and set them aside.

4. In a mixing bowl, combine 12 cubes of dark chocolate and 50 grams of salted butter. Melt the chocolate and butter by microwaving for 40-60 seconds or using a double boiler.

5. Add brown sugar and the prepared buttermilk to the melted chocolate and butter mixture. Mix until well combined.

6. Incorporate the dry ingredient, all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and rock salt. Stir until the batter is smooth and well mixed.

7. Fold in the coarsely crushed roasted walnuts, small chocolate cubes, and chocolate buttons to enhance the flavor and texture of the batter.

8. Grease a baking tray with butter and pour the brownie batter into it.

9. Top it with some walnuts, chocolate cubes, and chocolate buttons for added appeal.

10. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F), and bake the brownie for 30-35 minutes.

11. Once baked, your delectable eggless chocolate brownies are ready to enjoy!
