Notes

1. Always strain the flour before using it for any recipe. This process will help you to get lumps free flour.

2. To make the dough, use lukewarm water. Lukewarm water means, when you can easily tolerate the temperature of the hot water by your finger.

3. Activated yeast needs warm environment and food to get activated. So don’t boil the water, else your yeast will die. And use sugar as a food of yeast.

4. Try to finely chop the garlic and coriander. So they can easily blend with the naan dough.

5. The most important thing to make naan dough is time. So don’t skip it. 1 hour is highly recommended to rise up the naan dough properly.

6. After kneading the dough, don’t put it inside refrigerator. To ferment, it require wet and warm place.

7. Some oven has mode for fermentation. If you don’t have here is how you can do it yourself. Put your empty oven in convection mode for 2 minutes and then switch it off. Now put the dough inside the oven. In this condition oven holds little higher temperature inside. This process is very helpful to rise up the dough within 40 minutes to 1 hours.

8. I have choose to bake my naans in oven. Instead of baking just cook it like chapati. I would recommend non stick tawa for this. Otherwise it will stick to the tawa.

9. By using the naan dough, I have made 4 large size garlic naans. And it’s enough for 2 people. Don’t increase number of the naans for same amount of dough. Else your naan will get crispy rather than soft and spongy.
