Notes

1. Prefer your favorite sea fish for the recipe. It usually goes well if the fish is over 2 KG in weight. Salmon, King Fish, Bhetki, Seer, Basha, Pomfret are some of the good choices. I have used a fresh water fish (CATLA) for this recipe.

2. Fresh catch gives better taste than its longer frozen counterparts.

3. Cut thin pieces. It gets cooked faster for tawa fry.

4. I have used lemon juice to get a tangy flavor into my fish. It can be replaced by the 1/4 cup of sour curd (no sweet curd please).

5. Because I want to make my green masala fish fry, green in color. So I haven’t used any red chili powder into the masala. I will also suggest you to not to use red chili powder.

6. Marination time is the 2nd main key followed by the ingredients measurement. We should marinate the fish at least 20 – 30 minutes. This time will help the fish to absorb the flavor of green masala.
