How to make Homemade Donuts
1. In a bowl, combine lukewarm water and sugar. Sprinkle dry yeast over the water-sugar mixture. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the activated yeast mixture with maida (all-purpose flour), a pinch of salt, one medium-sized egg, and 1 tbsp of butter.
3. Knead the ingredients together until you form a smooth and elastic dough. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes or until it doubles in size.
