Ingredients

1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml; 1teaspoon – 5ml;

To make the peanut butter:

– 1 cup roasted and peeled peanuts (from the roasted pink skin peanuts)

– 5 pieces sweet dates

– 3-4 tbsp peanut oil/ melted butter


How to make homemade peanut butter

1. Preheat a pan, spread the whole peanuts evenly on it. Roast the peanuts for 10-12 minutes or until they are lightly golden and fragrant.

2. Rosting is done now, remove the peanuts from the pan to a plate and let them cool completely.

3. Once the roasted pink skin peanuts have cooled, remove the pink skins by rubbing them between your hands or using a kitchen towel. Blow away the skin or use a fine-mesh strainer to separate the skins from the peanuts.

4. In a food processor or a high-powered blender, add the roasted and peeled peanuts. Grind it to a semi paste.

5. Now add sweet dates (seedless) and peanut oil/melted butter. Blend the mixture on high speed until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.

6. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor a few times during the blending process to ensure everything is well combined.

7. Taste the peanut butter and adjust the sweetness or consistency according to your preference. If you desire a sweeter taste, you can add more dates.

8. Transfer the freshly made peanut butter to a clean and airtight jar. Leave for at least 1 days to allow the peanut oil to come out on the surface.

9. Enjoying your homemade peanut butter. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.

10. Use your delicious homemade peanut butter as a spread on bread, toast, bagels, or crackers. Mix the oil and peanut paste before using it.

11. Peanut butter can be incorporated into smoothies, oatmeal, or as an ingredient in various recipes.

Note: If you prefer a crunchy peanut butter, you can reserve some roasted and chopped peanuts and add them to the smooth peanut butter mixture after blending. Pulse the mixture a few times to incorporate the crunchy texture.
