INGREDIENTS
1cup-240ml; 1tablespoon – 15ml ; 1teaspoon – 5ml;
Ingredients for 2 serving
To marinate the chicken
Boneless (chicken) – 250 gm (small pieces)
Salt to taste
Black pepper – ¼ tsp
Ginger slices – ½ tsp
Soya sauce – 1 tsp
Corn flour – 2 tsp
To coat each chicken pieces
Corn flour – 2-3 tbsp
Oil to deep fry the chicken pieces
To make the honey chilli gravy
Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp
Chopped ginger – 1 tsp
Chopped green chilli – 1 tsp
Red chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup – 1 & 1/2 tbsp
Dark soya sauce – 1 tsp
Honey – 1+1/2 tbsp
Water – 2-3 tbsp (if required)
Sesame seeds – 1 tsp
Spring onion – 2-3 tbsp
How to Make Honey Chilli Chicken
1. Firstly we need to marinate the chicken. Take 250gms boneless chicken pieces. Wash them well and squeeze the extra water.
2. Now add all the ingredients into it according to the marination list. Mix them well & leave it for 15-20 minutes to marinate.
3. After that take 2-3 tbsp of corn flour on a plate & coat each single piece of marinated chicken with it.
4. Preheat the oil to deep fry. Add the chicken pieces into the oil. Fry them for 8 minutes on low heat to cook properly. Now take them out on a tissue paper.
5. Here we will make the honey chilli sauce in the same pan. Add oil to the same pan, if it required.
6. Then add chopped garlic, ginger & green chillies, fry for a while. After that add red chilli sauce, dark soya sauce, tomato ketchup & honey. Mix & cook for a minute. At this stage you can add 2-3 tbsp of water to prevent the sauce from burning.
7. Now add the fried chicken along with spring onions & sesame seeds into it. Toss them well and it’s ready.
