2. Grease a baking tin with butter or oil and cover with a parchment paper. Keep aside.
3. To prepare the batter, in a mixing bowl, crush the orange zest and sugar until well combined and fragrant.
4. Now add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. When it doubles in volume, add maida, baking soda, baking powder and orange juice. Mix until all the wet ingredients are well incorporated.
5. Lastly add the melted butter to the mixture and gently folding until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
7. Now add crumble the orange biscuits and sprinkle them over the top of the loaf for a delicious and decorative garnish
8. Place the loaf tin in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
9. Once the loaf is baked, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Slice and serve the Orange Loaf as a delightful treat with a cup of tea or coffee.
Enjoy your homemade Orange Loaf with its zesty and citrusy flavor!
Remember to adjust the baking time and temperature based on your oven’s characteristics, as baking times can vary. Always keep an eye on the loaf as it bakes to ensure it doesn’t over-brown or burn.
