Notes

1.   Here I am going to prepare Rajma Chawal for 2 people. If you are going to make for more people just increase the amount of the ingredients.

2.  I have used long grain basmati rice for this recipe because love long rice in my Rajma Chawal. But it’s totally your choice, you can choose any kind of rice for this recipe.

3. If you are a onion lover and want to add onion into it, you can include chopped onion into the ingredients.

4. Try to boil the rajma in pressure cooker up to 4-5 whistles. Because outer layer of rajma is so thick, so that it takes more time to cook from inside.

5. After boiling the rajma, drain the water properly. We don’t need water for this recipe. And don’t wash them by normal water. Use it as it is.

6. Try to add ½ tsp of salt during boiling. It’s help the rajma to absorb the salt water during the boiling.

7. Boil the rice up to 80% cooked. Don’t cook rice more then that. Follow the step for any kind of rice you are using here.

8. And because I have used here long grain rice, so I have soaked it for 10-15 minutes before using it. This process helps to get the proper rice for this recipe.
